Annette Lee
After completing my education at Merced College with an Associates of Arts Degree in early childhood development, I started my journey with Merced County Office of Education which continued for 2 years, then I became employed with the Community Action Agency for 27 years as a preschool teacher/resource specialist/education advisor/education compliance specialist/parent involvement specialist.
After retirement, I got involved in being a community advocate under Love, Faith & Hope, and attended the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) meetings, and serve on different committees i.e., Action Team for Housing with The Family Resource Council, Organizing for Change Merced, Youth Leadership Organization, and serve on different ministries at St. Matthew Baptist Church. In 2018, I became a founding member of the Merced Black Parallel School Board and currently serves on their Executive Council. I continue to advocate for our children for a better community.
